Is Runz free — and will it stay free?

Yes. Creating your page, publishing it, following other runners and reading the Journal are all free. There is no paywall on the basics and no ads on your page. If we ever add something paid, it will be an extra — never the page you already built.

What is Runz, and how is it different from Strava or Instagram?

Runz is one page for your whole running life: who you are, your links, your next race, your personal bests, your gear and your sponsors. Strava stores your training. Instagram stores your posts. Neither gives a sponsor, a race organiser or a new follower a single address that explains you in ten seconds. That address is what Runz is.

How long does it take to set up?

A few minutes. Name, photo and your address get you a live page; links, races, PBs and gear can be added whenever you like. Empty sections are hidden automatically, so an unfinished page never looks unfinished.

What shows publicly on my page, and what stays private?

Accepted Answer

Public: everything you put on the page — name, photo, bio, links, races, PBs, gear, sponsors and updates. Private: your email address, your page views and link clicks, messages sent to you, and anything you report. Your email is never shown to visitors or brands.

The address I want is taken — what now?

Accepted Answer

Addresses are first come, first served, and a few words are reserved for Runz pages such as /journal and /races. In Settings the address field checks availability while you type: green means it's yours, red means it's taken. Try adding your discipline or city — runz.app/tina-runs works as well as runz.app/tina.

Can I change my address later?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in Settings. Remember that the old address stops working straight away, so update the link in your Instagram or Strava bio at the same time.

Why does my page say it's a local draft?

Accepted Answer

Changes you make while signed out are kept in your browser only. Sign in and they are saved to your account and published at your address. The status bar in your editor always tells you whether you're looking at a draft or your live page.

How do I make my page private?

Accepted Answer

In Settings you can switch your page between public and private. A private page is not shown at your address, in the runner directory or in search engines.

Do you track me or run ads?

Accepted Answer

No advertising and no third-party ad tracking. We count page views and link clicks on your own page so you can see what works, and we use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. The full details are in our Privacy & cookies policy.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Settings has a delete option at the bottom. It removes your page, your content and your account. This cannot be undone.

I forgot my password.

Accepted Answer

Use the reset link on the login page and we'll email you a link to set a new one. You can also sign in with Google.

How do I report a profile or a post?

Accepted Answer

Signed-in members can report a profile or a post from the menu on it — spam, harassment, impersonation, unsafe content or something else. Reports are private and reviewed by Runz. A report doesn't remove anything automatically.

Is the Journal free to read?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every article is open to everyone, no account and no paywall. Gear notes, race pieces and interviews are all free. Member perks are the part that needs an account, because partner codes aren't something we publish openly.

How do you mark paid collaborations?

Every article carries a label: independent, paid partnership, gifted or loaned product, or affiliate links. It sits on the article itself, not buried in a policy page. Our Editorial policy explains the standards we hold ourselves to.

Can I pitch a story, a brand or a running club?

Yes. Write to hello@runz.app. Being covered is never for sale — if money or product changes hands, it is labelled.

Can brands find me through Runz?

Accepted Answer

Only if you opt in. Sponsor discovery is off by default; when you turn it on in Settings, your public page and partnership note can appear to brands browsing Runz. Brands reach you through a private form. Your email is never exposed.

Can I show my current sponsors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add them in your editor and they appear as a clean strip on your page — the way a professional runner's site presents partners.

How do member perks work?

Perks are partner offers for signed-in Runz members: a code or a link, with the partner and the end date shown. Sign in and open Perks to see what's live. We only publish offers we think are worth a runner's time, and we don't invent discounts to fill the page.

Question 19

What is Runz Clubhouse?

Clubhouse is the free member room inside Runz: deeper runner interviews, practical training, race guides, honest gear signals and occasional member drops. We publish for usefulness, not frequency. Your personal page and the public Journal remain separate and easy to understand.

Is Clubhouse another paid subscription?

Accepted Answer

No. Clubhouse is included with a free Runz account. There is no premium tier and no artificial countdown designed to pressure you into joining.

How does Gear Truth verify a rating?

Accepted Answer

A member can rate only a product already listed in the gear on their own Runz page. The public result is anonymous and shows the rating, usage range and buy-again signal in aggregate. A product needs at least five verified ratings before Runz calls it ranked. Smaller samples are labelled Early signal.

Can a brand pay to rank higher in Gear Truth?

No. Community scores come only from verified member ratings. Paid editorial work, gifted products and affiliate links are disclosed separately and never alter the score or position.

Why do I need an account for perks?

Partners give us member codes on the condition that they aren't posted openly on the internet. An account keeps them member-only — and it's free.

Do you track what I buy?

No. We don't track purchases and we don't hand your email to partners.

Is there a feed, and is it ranked?

Home shows the runners you chose to follow, strictly newest first. No algorithm, no recommendations, no ads. A single cheer is the only reaction — no comments, no ranking.
